A : "g'die might, howzit goin? everything alright?"
B : "yea.. not too bad..and you ? everything alright?"
A : "yea.. everything's good!! enjoying the night here.. enjoyed yours?"
B : "yea.. enjoyed it.. "
typical way to start a conversation with an aussie.. well, wat i noticed in australia and the way australian speaks was like the above conversation.. and every sentence, they will say "yea......" or "he was like..... and i was like...... and they were like....." basicly its just "yea" and "like", even alexie is picking up with their way of speaking..
sometimes, its hard for me to blend into the australians group too.. but im still learning how and wat they usually talk bout.. i mean i should say how they talk instead of what.. well, i have topics, just dono how 2 put them in a proper sentence so that they will understand.. and one more thing is that just speak out what ur thinking, cause sometimes when i thought of a topic, im afraid that they won't understand, so, pulled it back.. thats wat i think.. and jokes as well, dono how to rephrase my jokes.. blah, watever.. still, talking with malaysian or generally asian is still the best, i can;t see any problem me talking with takumi, or martina, or the angelas.. just australians.. takes time to blend into their culture tho..
mm, back to topic, english is important... i wanna say this first to my sister!! sha sha.. as well as all my friends and my cousins.. every one..
firstly talk bout australia, the last thing u wanna do when u reach australia is brush up ur english.. not only grammar, but also in conversation wise.. well, everything u can imagine, its in english , road signs - english, television programs - english, debating - english, lectures - english, assignments - english.. everything english.. so, i wonder how those kampung malay - mat rempit, chinese - ah beng/ah lian .. can really comunicate well in those western countries, or even anywhere around the world.. english is really important, cause first, its an international language, if u dono french, u speak english; if u dono japanese, u speak english; and if u dono malay, u speak english.. if u dono english, u speak "cimadiapanganese".. den alien will understand u .. i know and everyone should know because i've experienced it.. after secondary life, everything english.. filling up form, college assignments, uni life, internet, computer, bla bla bla..
sha sha, please take my advise and brush up ur english, its never too late to start.. start by reading english newspaper, speak english with jerry, chat online using proper english, and the most important is.. think english!! im telling u this because of ur own good.. as i know that it is really important for u in the future.. well, u can still speak chinese, but try to speak english more often now.. 2 more years ur coming out to the college world.. and den to uni world.. den to the real world.. so, hope u understand..
and of course, for everyone as well.. never forget ur mother tongue.. i can proudly say mine is chinese.. so so proud.. never forget ur root too.. and for those bananas out there.. as i say, its never too late to learn too.. learn it for communication sake, it alright if u dono how to write.. and when i look back on what the education ministry did, by changing science and maths into english, its a good start.. malay, u can put it aside, as someone once told me.. malay is useless, its only useful in malaysia, when ur in overseas, no one understands malay.. got la, they only noe how to say "terima kaceh".. and "sama-sama".. try speaking malay in the US, or AUS.. gone case.. but chinese, slowly picking up in this world, cause of China, also, there's lotsa foreign students learning chinese now.. Anja is one of them ;) good job..
mm.. dono how end this topic.. blah, lazie to think of it.. headin to class now..
